Dr. Gail C. Christopher

Dr. Christopher is an award winning social change agent and former Senior Advisor and Vice President of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF), one of the world’s largest philanthropies. She is currently the Executive Director for the National Collaborative for Health Equity.

She is the visionary for and architect of the WKKF led Truth Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) effort for America. TRHT is an adaptation of the globally recognized Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) model. TRHT evolved from the decade long WKKF America Healing, racial equity and racial healing initiative, designed and led by Dr. Christopher.

Diane Hosey

Diane Hosey oversees philanthropic ‘reach out’ for the Embrey Family Foundation; a small and mighty woman-led family foundation in Dallas, Texas. In her ten years of working with Lauren Embrey, and Sallie Beck, it has been her pleasure to support the organization’s artistic and social justice vision and mission which is to: Expand Awareness, Explore Possibilities and Elevate Consciousness.

Diane was the lead champion for Dallas Faces Race, a 300 hundred plus member non-profit forum from 2013-2017,  and currently serves on the steering committee for Dallas' Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation. Diane has been a teacher, an actor, an orchestrator and an activist. Sometimes she is all that rolled up in one. It just depends on the day.

Quodesia D. Johnson

Quodesia D. Johnson serves local, national, and international communities as a speaker and consultant to help achieve true equity, healing, and community in the arts. In her current role as the Education and Company Culture Manager for The Dallas Opera, Quodesia works with staff and board members to ensure a culture of co-creation and collaboration to dismantle systems of oppression for greater impact and connection.

Quodesia “Quo” Johnson is also the show creator, content writer, and co-host for Taking the Stage with Kristian and Quo, a web-series featured on TDO Network that presents meaningful conversations about the intersections of equity, education, community, diversity, business, and the arts.

David Lozano

David Lozano serves as the Executive Artistic Director of Cara Mía Theatre and specializes in writing, directing and producing original bilingual plays for the Latinx community in North Texas. Notable mainstage productions include To DIE:GO in Leaves, by Frida Kahlo (devised by Cara Mía’s artistic ensemble), Nuestra Pastorela (co-written with Jeffry Farrell), and The Dreamers: A Bloodline (devised by Cara Mía). In 2009, David co-wrote and directed the play Crystal City 1969 with Raul Treviño which was named the “Best New Play of 2009” by The Dallas Morning News, TheaterJones.Com and the Dallas-Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum. 

In 2012, The Dreamers: A Bloodline, the first in a trilogy on immigration, was awarded the TACA Donna Wilhelm Family New Works Fund in the grant's inaugural year and was named the “Best New Play of 2013 by Local Writers” by TheaterJones.com. David recently co-wrote and directed Deferred Action, the second installment of the trilogy for a Cara Mía co-production with the Dallas Theater Center in April 2016. In collaboration with Ignite Arts Dallas, Deferred Action toured Texas and Los Angeles in the fall of 2017.

Bianca Anderson

Bianca Casanova Anderson, educator, nonprofit leader, social justice practitioner and growing pleasure activist. As a K12 educator for almost a decade, Ms. Anderson found her passion for learning in the classroom. She built a unique background by cultivating inclusive and joyful environments that center relationships and uplift marginalized voices. As the founding Director for the Dallas-Fort Worth site of the Center for Racial Justice in Education, she trained and advised over 3,000 community leaders and educators around the nation in effective racial equity practices.

Currently, Bianca supports nonprofit organizations and foundations by leading training programs that focus on race equity and leadership development. She works to create a world where Black women and girls have the safety, access, resources and opportunities needed to thrive.  

While originally offered as paid participation, we are now offering this session as a complimentary public service.

Join us for the third session in our series launch on Dismantling Systemic Racism.

This session asks all participants to come with open hearts, prepared to embark on a deep dive of personal reflection into our own implicit bias. 

Through connecting with the stories of others, participants can begin healing from the pain of racism and commit to transformative action. Each participant will enter a brave space with a fellow participant, guided through our time together by trained facilitators.

Participants will come away with a foundation of how you can be part of a greater lasting movement for equity within your own reality, including:

• Begin to surface and recognize your own biases and how this shapes your relationships

• Expanded capacity for empathy and trust building
• Ideas on how you can take action and "seed" racial healing in your communities

If you choose to sign up for this session, you will need to commit to the 2.5 hour timeframe. Because of the nature of the process, people cannot participate in only part of the session, so if you accept, it would have to be for the entire time.

Space is limited to 40 participants.
